Scott began his career in the United States Marine Corps, serving four years on active duty as an infantry mortarman. During his service, he deployed to Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Storm, supporting combat operations and post-war security missions that protected U.S. personnel and equipment in the region. He also participated in multiple international training deployments, including joint operations in Japan and Australia, strengthening coalition coordination and readiness.

The discipline, precision, and operational structure forged during Scott’s Marine Corps service continue to guide the way he leads SBG Consulting today. His background in mission execution, situational awareness, and team coordination directly supports the type of workforce, logistics, and operational programs that federal agencies rely on.

After completing his military service, Scott spent more than 25 years in the workforce and staffing industry, founding and scaling a multi-state staffing firm to the Inc. 5000 list before selling the business in 2017. Since then, he has advised and built workforce programs for healthcare systems, government-connected firms, and enterprise organizations nationwide.
